The management of a dangerous or serious situation is very essential to prevent further complications .

-First of all collect all information regarding the current problem , its occurance , effects etc .

-Assess the seriousness and dangerous nature of the situation.

- Don't be panic, be prepared to face the situation.

-Support and help the co - workers to solve the problem.

-Make wise planning to solve the problem with the use of available resources.

- Assess and identify the client's problem.

Assess the current situation of client.

Look for any issues that may be life threatening.

Collect data through observation , look for presence of any abnormalities etc.

Check the airway, breathing and circulation and provide immediate management If any problems present .

- check vital signs to find problems.

- Perform physical assessment to find problems.

- Perform neurological assessment to find problems.

Solve all problems immediately.

Inform Doctor if any serious matter present.

Record the situation and management in nurses records.

If an emergency situation like disaster like earthquake, fires , massive accidents etc.

In this type of situation,

- Assess the current situation , collect all details regarding the situation.

- Inform the situation to higher authority for get their help and services.

- Make plans to reduce the effects of the dangerous situation .

-Make plans   to rescue the client in dangerous situation .

-Activate an emergency response plan.

- Arrange all members and make an emergency team and provide instructions regarding the management of the dangerous situation.

- Assign every members specific responsibilities to perform in that situation.

- Arrange all resources, equipments and other measures to manage the situation.

- Provide instructions to use personal protective measures to prevent self harm.

- Make maximum use of man and material power to solve the problem.

- Seek help of specially trained personnel to manage the situation.

- Provide all nursing care supplies, first aid kits, food and water clothes etc .

- Classify the victims according to the sevieority and provide treatment.

- Provide treatment according to priority.

The main aim is to save life and to reduce the side effects.

- Provide care to clients having severe life threatening injuries first.

- Provide all necessary services to the victims.

- Provide all necessary arrangements to provide care for all.

- Document all client condition and findings in records.

A nurse must face several serious situations in her work settings.

She must acquire adequate knowledge to take wise decisions and to make necessary actions to solve them.
