INTRODUCTION TO ROGERS THEORY

The belief of the coexistence of the human and the environment has greatly influenced the process of change toward better health

In short, while treating a patient he should not be separated from his environment.

DEFINITION

This theory is also known as Science of Unitary Human Beings. The theory views nursing as both a science and an art as it provides a way to view the unitary human being, who is integral with the universe. The unitary human being and his or her environment are one.

MAJOR CONCEPT OF THE THEORY

• Human-unitary human being

A person is defined as an indivisible, a pattern, and manifesting characteristics specific to the whole, and that can't be predicted from knowledge of the parts.

• Health

It is as an expression of the life process. It is the characteristics and behaviour coming from the mutual, simultaneous interaction of the human and environmental field and health and illness are part of the same continuum.

• Nursing

Rogers clames that nursing exists to serve people, and the safe practice of nursing depends on the nature and amount of scientific nursing knowledge the nurse brings to his or her practice.

Nursing is concerned with people all people well sick , rich and poor, young and old.

The theory enhance to holistic approach where the patient and family is involved. For keep the family mind relaxed and happy these necessary. Sleep keep mind and body healthy.

Proposal 4, APPLY FENGSHUI TO THE ROOM, MAKING IT A PLACE THAT ALLOW RELAXATION AND POSITIVE ENERGY

Rogers theory states that the energy flow freely and doesn't have any boundaries.

Proposal 5, USE COLOUR THAT ENCOURAGE A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT, BRINGING NATURE INTO ROOM.

This proposal helps in the making a good bond between individual and environment. It also helps in healing fast.
