Expert Solution

Idealisation is the process of making something better in the society while in reality, it's not. Rituals are the brain child of religions that hold on to some past glory or meaningless practices that are not compatible with the contemporary world. This most of the old ideas and ideologies are maintained by the religions in the name of rituals as best practices. This is what Durkheim mean when he says that rituals provide an opportunity for the idealization of society.
