The contagen film (2011) is related to a spread of a virus which was transmitted though droplets and fomites. This disease spread as an epidemic. The social order was disrupted due t pandemic nature of the disease and lastly development of a vaccine could halt the spread of the disease. This film also showed the scientific process which was undertaken for characterizing the pathogen and also the limitations of existing public health systems to combat the novel disease.

The present situation of pandemic caused by Novel Corona virus is quite same with the film's situation. This is also a novel pathogen which is spreading through droplets and huge death is caused by this disease. Lockdown affects global economy and social order have been disrupted. Poverty and joblessness increased throughout the world.Scientists throughout he world have characterized the genetic mechanism of spreading of the virus and now they are employed in development of vaccine which can combat with the disease.
