what are the seven sources of information you would use in a psychosocial behavioral assessment?
Psychosocial behavioural assessment can be done based on multidisciplinary context. It can be assessed on psychological, behavioural, social, emotional, environmental, physical and neurophysiological development.
Psychological development: This refers to development in one’s intellect, cognitive functioning, and decision making skills over the years. This is an important aspect in assessing the psychosocial behaviour.
Behavioural development: This is also a form of psychological development wherein an individual learn to adapt to the environment on basis the experience and inheritance. Behaviour development can be learnt and inherited. This serves as important information to assess the psychosocial behaviour in a person.
Social development: This refers to the qualitative change in an individual. It defines his interaction with the society. Social development plays an important role in one’s attitudes, beliefs and values.
Emotional development: This refers to the understanding, expressing and balancing of one’s feelings to evolve over the years. Positive and negative demonstrations of emotional development can be seen in which environmental factors plays a key role.
Environmental development: Environment refers to the surrounding in which we are brought up. This is a prominent deciding factor in building our character. Poverty being an important aspect can bring about negative and positive emotion in an individual which can be an important aspect in assessing the psychosocial behaviour.
Physical development: This refers to the development of bodily changes over the years. This also plays a role in assessing the psychosocial behaviour.
Neurophysiological development: This refers to the somatic and behavioural changes in an individual due to the change in brain activity or biological processes.
