What is the difference between cardiac arrest and an MI?
What would be seen on an ECG to help you decide between Cardiac arrest and MI? What affect does chronic stress have on your body and how does that add to heart disease?
I have enjoyed a southern feast of deep-fried turkey, mac and cheese, and pecan pie. For spices there was salt, pepper, and Lipitor. For this assignment list your favorite holiday meal. For each item in this meal tell me: 1. Overall calories 2. Amount of fat 3. Saturated fat 4. Unsaturated fat 5. Protein 6. Carbohydrate 7. Sugar 8. Sodium What is the total nutritional content of the meal? What is the RDA for these nutrients? I would like you to break this down into what affect eating like this on a regular basis would have on your body. Example – Excessive protein intake on a constant basis leads to weight gain and kidney damage. Tell why and how this will affect heart disease. Do this for each nutrient listed.
Step 1
According to guidelines we have to answer the first question only. so please kindly post the remaining questions separately. Thank you
Closed circulatory system is a type of circulatory system in which blood flows inside the blood vessels which helps to prevent the mixing of blood with other tissue fluids. Closed circulatory system is normally seen in higher animals like fishes mammals etc. Where as in insects the circulatory system is open type.
Components of closed circulatory system
It consists of heart to pump the blood, blood vessels like’s arteries to receive oxygenated blood and veins to receive deoxygenated blood the cells and carry them to the heart. From the heart the deoxygenated blood goes to the lungs and from their oxygenated blood reaches the heart through the blood vessels.
Heart, lungs, blood vessels like arteries and veins.

Cardiac arrest is the electrical problem of the heart. It generally occurs due to the irregular rhythm of the ventricles called ventricular fibrillation, which causes the ventricles to quiver and prevents it from the contraction.
Myocardial infraction is also called as heart attack, it is caused by the problem in the circulation of the arteries. Blocking of the arteries prevent or decreases the flow of blood to the heart muscles, thus the muscles lack oxygen and the contractions of the muscles changes the heart rhythm.

Difference between cardiac arrest and MI
Myocardial Infarction:
Myocardial infarction or heart attack occurs when any coronary arteries get obstructed or blocked. The muscles of the heart are robbed from its energetic blood supply and, in the scenario is left untreated, then it would start to die since it does not get oxygen supply to them.
Cardiac arrest:
Cardiac arrest occurs when an individual’s heart stops to pump blood around the body. This interrupts the flow of oxygen to the entire body and stops breathing.
ECG findings for cardiac arrest and MI
Cardiac arrest:
While using ECG, sensors or electrodes are present that can sense the electrical activity of the heart. These ECG patterns could disclose disturbances in the rhythm of the heart or spot any abnormal electrical patterns, which include prolonged QT interval during the cases of cardiac arrest.
Myocardial Infarction:
ECGs display modifications in the ST segment or T wave for conditions of myocardial infarction. This includes horizontal or downsloping ST segment and T-wave inversion. This is due to the fact that ischemia leads to myocardial cell injury which in turn leads to myocardial cell necrosis or death.
