Do you feel that Chris Kyle was provided with the proper
resources to manage his re-integration into society? Why or why
not?
Kyle was indeed provided the access to the veteran care and veteran rehabilitation center which can help him with the proper resources to manage his re-integration into society. Kyle did visit the facilities and talk to veterans but was disengaged at a personal level to manage his PTSD. His re-integration was not easy or as intended due to his deeper unresolved issues and his change from a full war based life to a peaceful daily life. Having said that he did have the resources and other veterans who could help his as fiends and professional therapists for his re-integration.
Discuss 3 nursing interventions you would include in the
careplan for Chris Kyle and his family.
i. Cognitive therapy - As a part of psychotherapy the cognitive therapy can be very helpful to Kyle in a way that assesses the thinking and emotions that he feels and resolving them through a series of discussions and focusing on expression of his deep feelings related to traumatic experience from the war.
ii.
Psychopharmacology - The PTSD nursing intervention
into Kyle's care plan can be done through medications as a part of
Psychopharmacology. In Psychopharmacology treatment method as
intervention we treat Kyle's symptoms with antidepressants and
anxiety reducing medication that can have positive effects in
elevating Kyle's mental and physical symptoms.
iii. Exposure
therapy - As we know Kyle's denies any stimuli that
can remind him of the trauma. By using exposure therapy with Kyle
as a nursing intervention we can help him reduce the flashbacks,
anxiety attacks, nightmares by slowly exposing him to similar
situation and carefully helping and guiding him to cope and deal
with the traumatic memories. The exposures in this therapy are
gradual and as per Kyle's experiences and requirement to give him
to coping ability and dealing with the trauma for a longer terms
solution option.

family?
Not only the war veterans but their families are too deeply impacted from the war and related deployment at war front abroad. The impact on the family is terms of anxiety, constant fear of life and worries that seep in daily with the progression of war and resultant casualties. Chri's family knew the middle east war zone and the uncertainty of life with the ongoing hostility. So all the uncertainly and fear/ worries impacted Chris's family deeply leading to them being under constant worry , anxiety and sensitive to war outcomes and related effects at an emotional, physical and psychological levels on the entire family.
