1-What is the difference between information security and cybersecurity? Why is it important to understand the two concepts?

a-Cyber Security is defined as the ability to protect or defend the use of cyberspace from cyber-attacks.Whereas, Information Security is the protection of information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction in order to provide confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA).

b-Information Security is a broader field that is concerned with information and the protection of information whether be it physical or computerized.Cyber Security on the other hand deals with protection of cyberspace and use of it against any sort of crime (related/not related to information CIA).

c-Cyber security is subset of Information security.Cyber security comes under the scope of information security or data security.

These are important concepts to understand because it would help us to know the benefits and functions of each. A manager can manage and protect data but information system requires extra skills and knowledge to protect data over internet.The study of these concepts help the organization to protect its valuable data and gain the competitive advantage over others.

Making policies and communicate them in the organization forms the culture of the organization.Policies provide framework and structure for our organization When consistently enforced, they contribute to the development of our company culture.. for example- in our organization, we have the policy of not smoking and prohibition on use of drugs and other illegal substances so, this makes culture of our organization very professional and legal.

another example could be, policy of come office on time, maintain the discipline at work helps the organization to form a good culture also it affects the life of our employees as they create good values in them.

Effective policies are very important in an organization.Policies are important in a workplace as it helps reinforce and clarify the standards expected of employees and help employers manage staff more effectively as it defines what is acceptable and unacceptable in the workplace.

effective policies forms the workplace culture, improves employees performance, build strong image of organization, maintains the professional and ethical environment in the company.effective policies help to guide the employees at workplace.

effective term in effective policies means that our organization is getting the positive and desired results for which policies are formed and implemented.

for example- we implement a policy of fine the employee from their salary if they come late without a valid reason or smoke in the company. this policy is said to be effective if all these undesired activities from employees would be reduced or stopped in the organization.
