9A ) A 0.1752 g sample of solid primary standard AgNO3 was dissolved in water and titrated with 21.672 g of dilute KSCN solution. Calculate the weight molarity of KSCN solution?

Solutions

Expert Solution

NOTE : AgNO3 is a primary standard which is used for the standardisation of secondary standards .

             weight of solute AgNO3 , Wt = 0.1752 g & Mwt of soluteAgNO3, Mwt = 169.8731 g/mol

             weight of solvent KSCN, W = 21.672 g

we know that , WEIGHT MOLARITY , m = Wt / Mwt * 1000 / W

                                                             m = 0.1752 / 169.8731 * 1000 / 21.672

      WEIGHT MOLARITY of KSCN IS, m   = 0.0476m
