42-year-old man presents to ED with 2-day history of dysuria, low back pain, inability to fully empty his bladder, severe perineal pain along with fevers and chills. He says the pain is worse when he stands up and is somewhat relieved when he lies down. Vital signs T 104.0 F, pulse 138, respirations 24. PaO2 96% on room air. the prostate is enlarged, extremely tender, swollen, and warm to touch. What is the diagnosis?

Based on all the symptoms the final.diagnosis is Acute bacterial prostatitis because this type of prostatitis generally starts suddenly and causes flu-like signs and symptoms, such as fever, chills, nausea and vomiting..
Treatment

Antibiotics. Taking antibiotics is the most commonly prescribed treatment for prostatitis based on type of bacteria that might be causing your infection.
Alpha blockers. These medications help relax the bladder neck and the muscle fibers where your prostate joins your bladder. This treatment might ease symptoms, such as painful urination.
Anti-inflammatory agents. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) might make you more comfortable.
