What are the key biochemical reactions that lead to the diabetic condition? What are the two biomolecules involved in diabetes and how can they be managed through diet?
Blood glucose is too high due to deficiency of available insulin (decrease production, decrease action increase in counter hormone).in absence of insulin glucose cannot freely enter muscle and adipose cell. Leads to hyperglycaemia.inadequate secreation of insulin leads to diabetes mellitus.several proteins that are exclusively and predominantly secreated from the liver are now known to directly affect the glucose and lipid metabolism.impaired insulin signalling in the liver and the adipose tissue result in increased endogenous glucose production which leads to hyperglycaemia.
