Social and political factors refer to the societal pressures, real or perceived, that influence Electrical Power Distribution, on Corporate initiatives
I am having trouble on figuring out the Corporate initiatives that influence Electrical Power Distribution. Any leads on websites or help you can give would be appreciated.
A major change in the power distribution sector of the country, two leading public sector utilities — NTPC and Power Grid Corporation of India have formed a joint venture to set up National Electricity Distribution Company. This would pave the way for NTPC, a leading power generator, and Power Grid, which owns India’s largest power transmission network, to get into consumer electricity supply business.
Corporate initiatives like Adani Transmission Limited (ATL), IPCL, TATA Power, REC Power Distribution Company Limited (RECPDCL) have a ultimate aim to facilitate availability of electricity for accelerated growth and for enrichment of quality of life of rural and semi-urban population. These corporate initiatives also ensures uninterrupted power supply to our select cities. The challenging task of meeting the ever-growing power needs of the industrial cities of the country has been possible because of efficient transmission and distribution of energy, as well as continual technology upgradation. These corporate iniatives would definitely boost up the power scarcity in our country along with PSU's like power grid and NTPC, though it faces many social and political pressures.
