COMMUNICATION

Question 1

Answer

True

Care giver's communication with the patient determines how patients perceive their care experience. If hospitals improve communications of the nurse with patients and strong communication among the healthcare team members influence the quality of working relationships and job satisfaction and clear communication about the division of tasks and their responsibilities.

If there is a poor communication happening among health care team members and with patients, family members may confuse follow-up care and medications, potentially leading to unnecessary readmissions and preventable malpractice litigation.

Thus communication influences the quality, safety, and experience of care, as well as caregiver involvement, which is consistent in critical performance areas to provide patient-centered care.
