A colostomy is the opening of the colon to help in the process of excretion of waste from our human body . It can he temporary as well as can be permanent. This kind of a surgery is usually done after the bowel surgery or an injury in the individual .

Most of the permanent colostomies are the "end colostomies," while most of the temporary colostomies are the type of bringing the side of those colon up to that of the opening in our abdomen

Temporary ostomy

Certain type of the lower bowel problems in an individual can cured by providing rest to the area . For this temporary colostomy is used

Complete recovery from a temporary colostomy may take about 2 months in the individual while permenent colostomy is permanent

Reversal surgery of temporary colostomy occur after 3 months while in permanant there is no such a surgery

Permanent stoma is usually seen in distall region while in temporary it can be jn proximal region
