Please explain real briefly about the work of lobbyists to manipulate political system and what food stamps and food pantries are.
Lobbying in its actual meaning it reffered as to influence the votes of legislative, generally in the lobby which is outside the legislative chamber. Lobbying cannot be separated from the political system as it is inevitable. Lobbying has gained its attention in the United states. Lobbying has many forms-
1. Group representatives may appear before legislative committee.
2. Public officials may attain attention or be buttonholed in the legislative offices, hotels, pivate homes.
3. Letters may be sent or the phone calls made and the campaign is organized for public officials for the same purpose.
4. Public opinion can be altered by organizing massive public relation campaigns.
5. Organizations may fund the candidate with money or services.
Food stamps are also known as SNAP- supplemental nutrition assistance program. It is a federal program that helps millions of low-income Americans put food on the table. It ensures that no one in America goes hungry. It also contributes in America's economy by providing job opportunities.
Food pantries are supported by the resident church or commities ( coalition) which provides food to the ones who cannot afford food or are hungry. They are independent committee which is self governing.
