There are many shortcomings in HIPAA that it is not the best practice model for privacy safeguards. The patient health information does not avail from the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights, thus having the same privacy traps as earlier.
The problem of restriction is significant. Altering, obtaining, and distribution of electronic data does not have any control over the shared data on what, where, and with whom was it shared.
What are some solutions?
A judicial record which defines accurately what data cannot be dispensed out should be set which is to be learned by every staff member and acknowledged. It can also be frequently dealt with clients to confirm that their informations are strictly confidential.
Regular coaching sittings for the staff, executives, physicians and nurses, need to be given to strengthening how much vital confidentiality obligations are.

Strictly restrict or exclude mobile phones from client areas.This prevents the information from intentional or accidental records or copies individual data.
