Each student will choose a particular theme pertaining to colonial America (1607-1776) that they would like to learn about for this week. For example, the Salem witch trails, The slave trade, or European exploration. Students will find 6 primary sources from the chosen theme. All sources must be from the GMC library for this assignment.

Students will provide:

a complete APA reference for each source

a picture of each source

a 2-3 sentence description of their source

a paragraph explaining at least 3 different ways historians could use that primary source

The first time colony was setup in 'Jamestown, virginia' in 1607. Native Americans helped in their colonisation.

Colonies were being set in USA for getting religious freedom. On that time people who are settlers found many hardship in America's wild. Many of them died before returning to their homelands.

Life in colonial America was centered around family and they were live as a tribal life. Women only worked in home. They are used to wash the clothes and made the meals. They also preserves food for winter.

Children's help their parents in their daily life routines and their was no awareness of going school.

When the girl passed the age of 20 then she had to marry someone. They were far away from education and they have their own traditions as well as culture. Their whole life were spending in making arrangement of food and to protect themselves from animals or other weather conditions.

Family was first requirement for them. They have develop their personal skills to make easier their life.
