How can mislabeling subjective and objective claims negatively impact the quality of a person’s thinking. You might try thinking of claims you could hear in a hospital or another work-related environment. If a person has confused objective with subjective or fact with opinion, what is the solution?
Objective claims are based on facts that can be proven easily and is completely true, unbiased and balanced.
Subjective claims is just a person's outlook or expression of opinion that is based on personal feelings, likes, interest, dislikes, etc.
Mislabeling of subjective and objective claims could negatively impact the quality of a person's thinking. It would create a situation of confusion inside the person's mind. It can lead to the issues of indifiniteness. As a result of the mislabeling, person cannot reach to the clear and definite conclusions. Due to the mislabeling, there would be the situation of disagreement among the persons thinking differently.
If a person has confused objective with subjective or fact with opinion, then he should start to think differently over the issue. He should understand the difference between facts and opinions. He should understand the difference between observations and assumptions. He should check whether the truth is provable or subject relative. He should be able to verify his claim. This is the solution, if a person has confused objective with subjective or fact with opinion.
