There is much controversy about the influence daycare has on the development of a child. What are your thoughts on this topic? Do you feel daycare is harmful or beneficial? Be specific in your responses.
Which daycare environment do you prefer, home daycare, nanny in home daycare or community based daycare? Why?
Daycare facility these days is a booming business and has its own pros and cons. For working parents a caretaker for their kid in their absence is mandatory especially if it is a nuclear family where no relatives or grandparents live together. Definitely daycare is a fantastic opportunity for a growing toddler as he or she gets a chance to interact with other kids, and takes the first leap to be out of the comfort zone of home and overdependecy on their mother, hwever daycares should not encourage parents to keep the child for long hours, on holidays always because this might impact the parent child bond in the future. Its every parent's duty to dedicate time to their child because there cannot be anything better than home care. Having a nanny is also a way of growing up in isoloation and has its own risk factors therefore daycare is a good option and its the duty of the daycare incharge to educate the parents by counseling.
