  • Number of shares outstanding - Shares outstanding are shares that have been authorized, issued, and purchased by investors and are held by them. Tesla Inc's average diluted shares outstanding for the quarter that ended in Jun. 2018 was 170 Million.
  • Market Capitalization – 56.449 Billion

Tell me why you are interested in this company and if you had an opportunity, would you buy their stock? Why or Why not?

I am interested in the company because of its charismatic CEO Elon Musk, who I am strong believer and follower of and the fact that the future is that of electric cars. Tesla as an electric car company has revolutionized the concept of electric cars and has made owning one as desirable. Given the polluting nature of petroleum based vehicles, as an environmental crusader, I strongly believe in the company’s low carbon footprint and its overall impact on the environment.

Now I would buy their stock in a heartbeat. This decision is made purely on financial group. With such a high market capitalization of about 57 billion, and 52 week range of 143$, I believe the stock will only go up as Tesla has ramped up production of their latest car, and started delivering the same(Even though all the negative criticism Elon Musk has been facing with his tweets attracting the wrath of the SEC). Tesla offers high quality cars and the company is going to reach heights.
