Age of Emily is 38years
Weight of Emily is 188lbs

The main nutrient component missing in Emily's diet is carbohydrates because fish ,benas ,chicken all provide protein . Fruits provides vitamins and minerals and coffee stimulates the brain as it contains caffeine.
Three ways to prepare a good diet plan are :-
- include carbohydrates ,protein and fat in proportion in the diet
- decrease coffee intake
- including more pulses and fluids
According to Mifflin -St.Jeor equation
Emily's current energy needs = (4.55×weight in lbs)+(15.88×ht.in inches)- (5×age in years) - 161
= (4.55×188)+(15.88×64)-(5×38)-161
= 855.4 + 1016.3- 190- 161
= 855.4+ 826.3- 161
= 855.4 + 665.3
= 1520.7 calories is needed by Emily.
To lose 1pound every week her calorie goal should decrease by 4calories every week means if at present her total calories is 1520.7 ,then to decrease 1pound she should take only 1516.1 calories.
