1. At NYU there is currently a problem that only 60 percent of the freshman graduate from NYU in 6 years. That means 40 percent leave the school before graduation. This is a relatively high number compared to some other schools. This is in spite of NYU being one of the best schools in the country in placing students into high-income jobs.
a. In your opinion, why do so many students leave NYU before graduation?
b. Using the idea of nudging, come up with three ways (and explain them) that NYU could nudge students to stay at Pace.
a) NYU is indeed one of the most unusual colleges where it is nothing but a collection of buildings with a densely populated scenario and doesn't have the college artmosphere. This might let down the interest of Freshmen who get there for a traditional college experience. This might be one of the reasones why many students leave NVU before graduation.
b) Using nudging method of students,
1) One way is to get themselves to focus on their higher post graduate studies by molding them by telling in such a way that, NYU can be highly helpful in assisting you for your further study aims on the whole.
2) Another category of people can be nudged by mentioning about the high paid jobs that'll be available during their placements on the whole.
3) The third category of people caan be nudged by explaining them about the unique culture of the campus and the ways in which one can get to focus and enjoy a lot in the college atmosphere on the whole.
