What is the EU and what is its purpose in Europe? Has the EU reached its limits to helping Europe and is it now more of a hindrance then a help? What is the Geography of the Euro crisis? Opinion: does Europe have an aging population and why?

The European Union is indeed a political and economic union comprising of 28 member states that are located primarily in Europe on the whole. The main purpose of EU is to promote greater social, political and economic harmony among the nations of Western Europe on the whole. It can be mentioned that there's no major war in Europe in the last 60 years which is the main objective of the European Union.As a token of achievement the entire European Union received the Nobel peace prize in 2012.Apart from that, promotion of democracy, establishing standard human rights have been successful as well. However due to the Euro crisis which is a multi debt crisis has struck Europe since 2009 and this crisis struck Greece, Portugal, Italy etc. WIth this, it can be mentioned that EU has reached its limits for help and apart from that In Europe it has been estimated that  between 2010 and 2050, while the elderly population will increase by 58 million, a gain of 77%. where the working age population might decrease by 46% which tells that Europe has a aging population.
