• Higher levels of anxiety
• Over diagnosis
• Side effects
• Example - patient may undergo overtreatement at times this can cost the patient financially.

Benifits

- patient has the freedom to choose the care providers

-they can be cost effective due to the freedom of choice they have

-it won't be time consuming

-it cut down the number of hospital visits

Harms

- may lead to receive less attention from health care

-side effects
