There are a lot of holistic teaching methods that can help all students understand, but there are several special methods that are effective in teaching a community that includes visually disabled students.Fair opportunity, not a guaranteed result, is the goal when contemplating alternate modes of appraisal. To support students with a disability, you are not supposed to lower expectations, but rather are encouraged to allow them a fair chance to show what they have mastered.
Lectures and online teaching: As far as possible, keep directions short and uncomplicated. Repeat precisely without paraphrasing when repeating orders. Describing course specifications specifically, the dates of tests, and when activities are due. Provide warning of any modifications in advance. Display graphic style lecture material ( e.g., chalkboard, overheads, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, etc.). Use more than one medium to show or illustrate material. When teaching, state expectations, revisit prior lessons and regularly recap.
Writing assignments and examinations: Provide help with written work for proofreading. Instead of mechanics when grading in-class writing assignments, emphasise organisation and concepts. Promote the use of spell-check and grammar-assistive devices when necessary for the course. Translate papers into their normal format (e.g., Braille, changed style, large print). A student may need a reader to read the questions;
