the leading causes of death in the world. Pretend you have been hired by the WHO to address one of these causes. Write a one-page, typed paper discussing the cause of death you have chosen to address, why you chose it, and three ideas you have for addressing it. You will need to do some additional reading to determine health promoting activities/strategies that reduce the risk of your choice.
The leading causes of death are many conditions like ischaemic heart disease,lower respiratory tract infections,cancer,tuberculosis,road traffic accidents,dementia etc..
All of these WHO addressed main leading cause of death is ischaemic heart disease or coronary heart disease(CHD).
Non communicable disease only improving the death rates in that main cause of death is ischaemic heart disease so that I chose to explain this cause.
3ideas for addressing it 1)due to our lifestyle changes younger one to elder people all are prefers junk foods 2)obesity 3) bad habbits
Ischaemic heart disease means reduced blood supply or blockage it reduce the blood to heart muscles
Causes:
Family history of coronary heart disease
Person having hypertension,high cholesterol, obesity
Persons have history of diabetes mellitus,end stage renal disease
Amyloidosis(abnormal proteins occupy our tissues,blood vessels and organs)
Sedentary life style,history of bad habit like smoking,tobacco chewing,alcohol drinking and drug abuse etc..
CHD lesser for womens before menopause but womens takes more oral contraceptive pill and smokes ,used for tobacco it higher to get women also ischaemic heart disease .
We have note important thing is there is no cure for heart disease .We able to reduce the risk and extend the patient life so that only it's main cause of leading death rate.
Treatment for heart disease:
Lifestyle changes
Medications like beta blockers,calcium channel blockers,diuretics,anti coagulants etc.
Surgery and other procedures are angioplasty,angiogram,balloon stents,CABG etc
These all are extend particular ones life span.
How to reduce the risk :
We must avoid junk foods follow good diets,
Daily atleast 30mts do exercise
Quit smoke,alcohol drinks,avoid drugs
Every people above 30yrs must monitor or check her/his BP,cholesterol level,weight 6months or yearly once.
So early identify the cause and rectify that as much as possible.
