Identify various quantitative approaches to project evaluation. What are their main limitations?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Some of the quantitative for project evaluation are:

  • Regression - It measures the relationship between multiple variables also in terms of multiple regression but the limitation is that imprecise results are given.
  • Correlation- It depicts the relation and dependency of one variable with another and the basic limitation is that it is totally dependent on concrete variables and does not take into account loosely defined boundaries and hence at times becomes difficult to use.
  • Standard deviation- It shows to what extent data varies from the mean and limitation is that it is used only when the sample set is small.
