Product charter helps in articulating and focusing on the core requirement to begin with. However, during the course of the project as the new information is generated it helps in assessing the relevance of the information thus generated. This helps significantly in terms of channelizing the time and effort in the right direction and not getting lost in the scope creeps and delays.
