First let us talk about EHR. Electronic health record is digital version of patients paper chart. It is real time version. It can contain what was the patients’ medical history, medication, diagnosis, treatment reports, radiology, immunization records, allergy etc.

The futures technologies will make easier for information technology system and software system to coordinate with each other so that the information of the patient can be retrieve more easily.

It will give more security to the privacy of these digital data of the patients so that no one can misuse it.

Currently hospitals and clinics are not giving preference to EHR but in near future they will change their perception because of more easiness of HER systems.

Currently there is a lack of robust infrastructure to monitor the EHR system, with changing technology it will cover this shortcoming.

In my point of view there should be proper coordination in government as well as organization. If organization is not driven toward it then government has to give unnecessary extra pressure to the organizations and these organizations will implement it half hearted. There will lack efficiency in EHR. And if government is not supporting then organizations can misuse the data. So it should be collective approach of both government as well as organizations.
