The factors that really affect the health insurance coverage includes the following;

· Pre existing medical conditions; if any previous medical history is there then the policy holders will not be covered under the insurance premium

· Family medical condition; If the policy holders have previous history of minor ailments, then the insurance premium will be much higher than the others.

· Body mass index; If the person have high BMI then they will be issued the insurance with higher premium as compared to others.

· Injurious substances; If the person have any bad habits like smoking, alcoholism, then it can affect the health of the person. So, in such cases, then the premium is high

· Gender/ age; As age increases, then mostly the premium will be high

· Choice of profession; policyholders who are working under risky conditions, then they have to pay high premium since they are more prone to various diseases.

· Marital status

· No insurance yet; if they do not have any insurance yet, then usually they charge high premium as compared to others.

· Location of stay
