Assume you are the CEO of an U.S.-based e-commerce company that wants to expand internationally by exporting a product or service to one of the BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, or South Africa. First, you should choose and describe the product or service you want to export. Second, you should evaluate the business environment in the chosen country and explain why you chose this country. Third, you should evaluate the market potential for your product/service in the chosen country. Be sure to specify the indicators (country indicators and market potential indicators) that you use to evaluate the market potential for your product/service in the chosen country. Fourth, you should develop a marketing plan to export your product/service to the chosen country. Be sure to specify the positioning strategy and target market, the pricing strategy, the distribution strategy, and the promotional strategy. Finally, you should develop a 2-slide executive summary (including detailed notes) that summarizes the key points of your international marketing plan.
As my company is an e commerce based I should should choose a country which will be supportive, low export costs, high population, economically stable.
So I will choose a country like India.
My company wanted to export clothes and foot ware as any country there will be large market for textiles.
Secondly I will tie up a deal with their large online store and large central accros the cities which are popular among citizens to give branding for the export and sale of my products. Only online stores because now a days there is a large market for online based products. India is a country with large population with more than 50% of population is youth who are large users of social media.
Thirdly, During festival season there are large number of people who will be doing shopping for clothes and foot ware.
Fourth, Across the country and online stores I should be giving them large discounts so that they will be sale and market for my products. It should be launch the product during festival season and give discounts which will create a market and brand image thus giving me a scope to establish my own stores.
