Tree Seller purchased two pieces of forests A and B. Tree Seller cut the trees from forest A, and put them as lumbers on a ship.

X burned all the trees in forest B

Y burned all the lumbers in the vessel.

Tree Seller sued both X and Y separately on the ground of conversion.

The true seller is the real owner who purchased forest A and B . The acts done by X and Y by burning the trees and lumbers in the vessel without permission from the tree seller. Any element of dealing or tort that cause loss or harm with another person's property in disagreement with their right, can be considered as conversion . Whatever be the intention of the defentend whether it is good or bad he is answerable and responsible for the conversion . True seller sued separate cases against X and Y . In case of X , X burned all the trees in the forest B , as per law of conversion, property that subject to conversion that does not hold trees , that is Trees cannot be converted , so it is not accountable under the grounds of conversion . But X can be made liable for the loss and compensation can be gained from him but not in the grounds of conversion .In case of Y , who burned the lumbers in the vessel can be suited under the grounds of conversion and can be held responsible for the act. As per the grounds of conversion , the lumber severed , burned or destroyed  from the land can be , it comes under the property subject to conversion  .So in this case the remedy for the damages from the court can take in the form of compensation , out of pocket expenses , Aesthetic loss and mental anguish or even punitive damages. In Case of both the situation the claim and defend from the parties as well as the applicability of law affects  the result of lawsuits ..
