How can starting M phase with unreplicated DNA impact the resulting daughter cells?
Ans. - Unreplicated DNA means S phase was non functional during interphase preceding mitosis, when the m phase starts in this case we dont have double the amount of DNA, so during anaphase each chromosome having 2 chromatids instead of regular 4 will split up, so each daughter cell will have half the amount of dna but same copy
kind of haploidy but not like meiosis, as no crossing over takes place here.
In both mitosis and meiosis replication of DNA is essential because replicated dna move to new cells and formation of new daughter cells get possible.
If DNA not get replicate new daughter cells which got formed will be divide without DNA and get die soon.
DNA repliacattion increase the number of DNA after separation this dna get separet and reach to all new daughter cell in mitosis 2 cells get form , because of unreplicated DNA, same with meiosis 2 cells will show presence of DNA while another 2 will not have DNA strand.
