Solutions

Expert Solution

1.Experimenter bias - The intended or unintended influence of the experimenter on the participants, that increases the probability of participants' behavior or recording by experimenter of only that behavior which supports his hypothesis.

While asessment of personality or during the study of influence of personality traits on another variable, experimenter bias may result in only those traits being noticed which experimenter wants to study and ignoring other traits which may havevplayed a role.

2.Disposition - a customary style of thinking and behavior.

Dispositions manifest themselves in the form of traits in an individual which collectively define his personality according to trait theories.

3.Face Validity is the subjective measure of how accurate or effective an instrument is at its face value. A personality questionnaire with questions in psychomeyric form may look less valid than a drawing based projective test if the person is looking for aesthetics as the criteria for validity.
