Identify at least two (2) short-term outcomes (results) to achieve the successful implementation of an STI screening program. Note: Your outcomes should be SMART, meaning they should be specific and measurable. Short-term outcomes measure gains in knowledge and/or skills.
State at least two (2) medium-term outcomes (results) to achieve the successful implementation of an STI screening program. Note: Medium-term outcomes measure changes in behavior.
State one (1) long-term outcome (result) to achieve the successful implementation of an STI screening program. Note: Long-term outcomes measure reductions in mortality and morbidity rates and improvements to the quality of life.
1. Short term outcomes :
a) By month / year , all the medical staff who have participated in the training will report in a pre/post questionairre, an increase in knowledge of STI screening from Y% to X%.
b) By month /year , medical staff who participated in STI training will demonstrate , in a performance section , at the end of training, an improvement in STI prevention counseling skills from Y% to X%.
2.Medium term outcomes :
a) By month / year , the percentage of medical staff in family planning in clinics ina country who screen at-risk female adolescents for STI as a part of regular health assessment will increse from X% to Y%.
b) By month/ year, the percentage of medical staff who conduct STI prevention counseling in family planning clinics in a country will increase from X% to Y %.
3.Long term outcomes:
a) The prevalence of STI among high risk female adolescents within a country will have been reduced from X% in(year) to Y% (year).
