Description-

A condition in which force of the blood against artery wall is too high.

CAUSES AND RISK FACTORS-

• Age
• Race
• Family history
• Obesity
• Lack of physical activity
• Tobacco usage

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

• Severe headache
• Fatigue
• Confusion
• Nosebleed
• Vision problem
• Chest pain
• Irregular heart beat

DIAGNOSIS

Diagnosed when blood pressure consistently measure more than 130/ 80 mmhg.

PREVENTION

• Eat healthy diet
• Be physically active
• Keep healthy body weight
• Get enough sleep
• Dont use tobacco

PROGNOSIS

• If untreated hypertension increase the risk of mortality.
• Mild to moderate hypertension if untreated lead to Atherosclerosis in 30% and organ daage in 50% in 8-10 years.

TREATMENT

• Eating healthy diet with less aalt
• Regular exercise
• Taking medications likelike ACE inhibitor, beta blocker or diuretics

WAY THE HYPERTENSION AFFECT CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM

• Elevated blood pressure increase the chance of coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure, renal failure in adults
