Number of seats = 140

Seat turnover = Number of guests served / Number of seats

Seat turnover for each meal period = Number of guests served in that meal period / Total number of seats

So, seat turnover for Lunch for Sunday = 0, since it is closed, for Monday = 160/140 = 1.14, for Tuesday = 170/140 = 1.21, and so on.

Seat turnover for Dinner for Sunday = 180/140 = 1.29, for Monday = 110/140 = 0.79, for Tuesday = 112/140 = 0.80 and so on.

Seat turnover for each day can be calculated as the sum of seat turnover for Lunch + Seat turnover for dinner.

Alternatively, total guests served each day for lunch + dinner can be divided by 140.

Ans. B. Average number of customers per day = Total number of customers in the week / No. of days in a week,i.e.,7

So, total number of customers in a week(7 days) = 1985

Average number of customers per day = 1985/7

= 284

Average seat turnover for the week for Lunch = Total number of guests served lunch during the week / 140

= 895/140

= 6.39

Average seat turnover for the week for Dinner = Total number of guests served dinner during the week / 140

= 1090/140

=6.81
