        Formula  

            Drops per minute(gtt/min) = Volume(ml)/Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/ml).

Here

         Volume(ml) = 1000 ml.

          Time(min) = 1440 min ( 24 hr).

          Drop factor = 60 gtt/ml.

As per above formula

          Drops per min (gtt/min) = 1000/1440 * 60

                                                 = 0.7 * 60

                                                 = 42 gtt/min.
