Covid 19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered virus called corona virus. It is a pandemic disease which affecting the whole world. We xan say the whole world was affected by corona virus. It can be prevented by proper hand washing or by use of alcohol handrub, social distancing and by wearing mask.
All the government of the nation trying hard to prevent the spread of the disease by different ways. By this government introduced lockdown process in the countries by this economic, health, social challenges it arises. Some of the measures are
•limit the visitors and employees in the closed spaces, or offices
•generic preventive measures should taken to control the disease
in all settings in office or in hospital every where the public
should follow this. That is social distancing, face mask use, hand
hygiene, health monitoring of health and report illness if any,.
Persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant
women are advised to
stay at home, except for essential and health purposes.
•specefic preventive measures
i. Entrance to have mandatory hand hygiene (sanitizer dispenser)
and thermal
screening provisions.
ii. Only asymptomatic staff/visitors shall be allowed.
iii. Any officer and staff residing in containment zone should
inform the same to
supervisory officer and not attend the office till containment zone
is denotified.
Such staff should be permitted to work from home and it will not be
counted as leave period.
Cleaning and regular disinfection, proper disposal of mask, social distancing, ensure availability of sanitizer,.
•Measures to be taken on occurrence of case:
Early detection of disease by if any one experiencing symptoms. Local health facilities are available to identify the person and isolate them, and quarantine the persons those who have contact with positive cases.if large number of contact is there, risk assessment, quarantine and testing should be done.disinfect the area is important
•management of contacts
The person those who have coontact with positive cases should be on quarantine of 14 days.these person shall undergo testing asper ICMR protocol
•close of work place where one or more cases reported, it is not necessary to close whole building.if large number is reporting means there is need to close whole building
•disinfection procedure
Disinfection is necessary before resuming the work.
All the health care workers in the nations were working 24hours to control the disease and treating the patient with covid.as a nurse i can say, we can overcome the disease by proper infection control measures and proper education to patients regarding the disease. Healthcare workers shold give awareness regarding the spread and control of the disease.
Most of the scientists in the country were trying to develop vaccine. Vaccine development is incredibly complex and risky, but biopharmaceutical researchers have the specialized skills and experience to navigate development successfully, and they understand the pressing need for a safe, affordable and effective vaccine to help combat COVID-19.
Eventhough some of the countries were facing somany difficulties to handle this pandemic because of the economic problem. Some of the country may affected by lockdown, it affected the economy of the country. They don't have facility to expand the testing facilities, construction of new hospital capacities. And also unavailability of adequate health care workers for treating the patients. Some of the country were overcoming this with their high economic status.
The whole people not only the health workers every one have responsibility to overcome from this pandemic.
