Pick an appropriate scale and graphically add these vectors, in order: A = 30 m/s at 30o North of East, B = 20 m/s South, C = 50 m/s at 70o West of South, and D = 15 m/s at 10o East of North. Using the same scale, add them in this order: C, B, D, A. Using the same scale, add them in this order: D, C, B, A. Does the order in which you add vectors affect the sum?

Expert Solution

A vector can be said to have a direction of 30 degrees (let say) North of West meaning a vector pointing West has been rotated 30 degrees towards the northerly direction.
