Compare the definition of symbiosis proposed by Margulis to that of Douglas and others to that of DeBury. Give an example os specific interaction which fits each of these definitions. Which definition do you think is better? Defend your answers

Symbiosis proposed by Margulis : She proposed that symbiosis as evolutionary force that occur due to transmission of nuclear information among virus cell or bacterial cells and eukaryotic cells.

For example, she said that mitochondria and chloroplast were once bacteria, and that were further, eaten by larger cell. But instead of digesting bacteria, they made a symbiotic partnership.

Symbiosis proposed by Douglas: She defined symbiotic relationship that exist between organisms which allow species to overcome their physiological limitations with the help of other organism. For example, the symbiosis relationship between birds and flowers.

Acoording to deBary, symbiotic relation is a kind of relationship between two organisms where both the organism are benefitted. For example, different bacteria live in symbiotic relationship in human.

According to me, I think theory proposed by Douglas, because two organism will come to each other so that they can overcome their physiological limitations using other organism. For example, flower and bees work in mutual relationship so that both need each other as they overcome each other limitations.
