Febrile seizure:
Febrile seizure is also known as fever fit, it is a convulsion in achild caused by a spike in body temperature (usually those greater than 38 degree celsius (100.4 degree Fahrenheit), often from an infection. The child suffer from loss of consciousness, shake or jerking of arms and legs, breathing difficulty, foaming at the mouth, going pale & bluish skin color, eye rolling & child may take 10-15 min to wakeup properly afterwards.
Febrile seizure mainly occur in young children i.e, child in the developmental age group of infant & toddlers(3months to 5/6years) with normal development without a history of neurological symptoms. It may also likely to occur if there is a family history of febrile seizure.
Nurses responsibilities in seizure precautions :-
The main purpose is to protect the patient from injury and to reduce environmental stimuli that may tigger the onset of seizure.

Meningococcal conjugate vaccine
Meningococcal vaccines protect against meningococcl disease, which can lead to bacteriabacterial meningitis and other serious infections.
The meningococcal conjugate vaccine protects aginst four type of meningococcal bacteria,(called types(A, C, W & Y).It is recommended for all kids.
