In our organization , we have a separate department of informatics . To inculcate information technology in the healthcare field efficiently ,many doctors and nurses are made part of the department because it's the physicians ,and other health care workers who will be using these softwares in the clinics. They know more nicely about the kind of software the healthcare people want to work with which will moto ate them to use IT in the clinics . Our informatics is supervised by the head of neurology department who is a senior consultant and under him a group of nurses are working as nurse informatics who work with IT people to formulate staff friendly software and develop different modules within the e-hospital for OPDs , admission discharge , PACS etc . These nurse information get training from the IT staffs and then they are posted to different departments and train these modules to the staffs working there and manage the whole technical issues present in their departments.
Not all health care staffs use these software mainly those who are the elder ones they don't know to use the computers so they deny to use the new initiative and also demotivate others . Other staffs give the reason the reason that software is not working properly or server issues are there every time . To defend this we should provide a software which is fully functional and have no server issues . Second things is to motivate the staffs to use the e -hospital for conduct of activities by providing them proper training ,certificates , incentives and upgradation .
The best strategy to improve the relation between technology specialist and other healthcare staffs is to assign a person from clinical staff only as a informatics specialist because getting a person from their own group only will help other staffs to express their feelings and concerns about the usage of computers , what are the difficulties they are facing , they feel free to speak to them because they are telling to a person who is a part of them only and they know that he or she will work in favour of them only by focusing on the needs of the staffs and patients so that the best and efficient health care services can be provided to the patient's .
