Most personal services are not globalized easily because these
services tend to be location-specific and are generally cannot be
traded. These services are not displaced easily and tend to not
affect technological changes over them. Personal services are
completely based on the needs and requirements of the customers, so
they are expected to be highly flexible.
The provision of personal services or customization of the services
as per the need of the customers is easy for an organization until
it reaches a certain point of growth. after that certain level,
when a company wishes to expand itself at a global level, they need
the standardization of the services and products in their
portfolio.
Example - Services provided for educational and
learning purposes, services provided by the health care workers.
these services need to be standardized before going global.
Standardized personal services are almost always impersonal because
it is not customized according to the needs of any specific
customer. Once this standardization has been done, these personal
services can now be traded like the impersonal services.
