1. A network management system can communicate with a managed device using a request-response protocol or a trap mechanism. What are the pros and cons of these two methods?
2. Research a network management product or tool of your choice. Describe the product or tool in two or three paragraphs
Simple network management protocol uses request-response and trap mechanism.
The basic different between them is that trap message do not requires any response while request-response requires the response from the management.

Network Performance Monitor is network management tool by solar wind.
Both wired and wireless network can be managed by the help of the Network Performance Monitor. Traffic flow and network activity can be monitored using the Network Performance Monitor. Performance of the network component such as IPs and servers can be monitored using the Network Performance Monitor. In case of critical point and network vulnerabilities it raises the alerts. Alerts can be managed, filtered turn on and off depending on the requirements and network conditions.
Provides the visualization of the network data, gives detailed information about the delay, drops and jitter in the network in graphical form. Provides the node to node analysis and cloud details. Network performance monitor also provides an easy way for traffic filtering, diagnosing the network, and handling the vendors.
