What were the causes and outcomes of the American Revolution?

The American Revolution was political and ideological in colonial North America between 1765 and 1783. The process was caused by several factors like; the founding of the colonies, and people got worried since the British government got involved in the affairs of the colonies; they, therefore, felt they would lose their freedoms. Second, the French and the Indian war lasted between1754 between and 1763. After the war, the British troops remained in the colonies, and taxation was therefore introduced in the American colonies to take care of the soldiers (Griffin & Patrick). The protests in Boston resented the new British laws and the taxes.

 In 1765, the Sons of Liberty group championed the tax rules' rejection, and this spread throughout the colonies. During the protests, several colonialists were shot and killed after a fight broke out; this was later referred to as the Boston Massacre. In 1773, the British's tax on tea resulted in patriots boarding the ships and dumping tea into the water. In 1774, the Intolerance Acts petition was sent to King George, and the response was never availed, the British goods were boycotted, and riots were experienced in diverse regions (Griffin & Patrick).  The thirteen colonies involved in the revolution defeated the British in the revolutionary war of 1775-1783. Independence was granted from the British Crown leading to the formation of the United States of America.
