During an illness event a family is more important than an individual.A family is consist of differnt individuals with different thoughts and behaviours. It is important to explore individual stage of development of each family member,if the nurse is not properly understanding the family structure that may reduce the outcome of the treatment. Each and every member plays specific role in their family. If one family member is effected with an disease means it will completely distrupt the rhythm of the family.Every persons in the family have their own duties in a family and that is without any monetary benefits. One among the member is not feeling well means that may distrupt this work schedule and this may cause strain in the family and sometimes may lead to more unity and all these things are depends upon the character of each family member. The way an individual raised by the family will directly impact on this phenomena.

By knowing individual member of an family APRN can provide better treatment regimen, because during an illness event not only that patient is involved in the treatment but also the family members who have direct contact with him. There may be disequilibrium in the family during the illness event and if the nurse is not properly recognized the change that may effect the patients willingness to carry out health care recommendations.
