Corporate governance has a broad scope and involves the institutional and the social aspects of the economy, the governance helps in managing and directing the companies. The adoption of corporate governance affects the formulating of the company decisions like the setting of objectives, managing the risks and assessing them, and optimizing the set targets. Corporate governance has several roles; first, it helps in alleviating the accountability of the company policies and curbs the massive disasters before they are actualized (Ortiz, 155). Second, facilitates the globalization of the large companies by introducing their services and commodities to the global market.

Marketing involves the adoption of foreign rules and regulations. The scams like misappropriation in the banks, markets, government offices, and financial institutions have called for corporate governance to counter the losses incurred (Ortiz, 161). Additionally, social responsibility calls for the protection of customers, shareholders, employees, local communities, and suppliers. Corporate governance has greatly played a significant role in the attempts to retain and promote environmental sustainability in the business fields.
