Ways in which CRISPR is better-

1) It is highly specific. It is the most specific tool which we have developed till now. It can make cuts or gene knockout mutations very precisely and very nearest to the target site.

2) It is highly efficient. It's efficiency is highest. Most of the time it makes cuts at desired site and with least number of non-specific cuts , thus making the Recombinant dna technology highly fast and least time consuming. In short period we can generate large numbers of recombinant and mutants with most of them working perfectly without side effect causing non specific activities

3) It is cheaper. The 1st CRISPR was extracted out was associated with cas9 enzyme. And after that many new and more accurate CRISPR combinations have been developed and worked out which can do work in different conditions, species, organisms. Now. We have systems with larger guide RNAs which make more specidicity.

At the same time make recombination cheaper due to faster time and more accuracy.
