Three factors are-
i. Low level of education: Low level of education of some section of the sociey in Canada is one of the important factor creating poverty in the country. Low income or poor parents not able to send their child to take proper schooling makes a group of children uneducated or low education. ii. Addiction to drugs or alchohol: This is another important factor contributing to poverty now a days in Canada. At the early ages some are addicted to different kinds of drugs or alchohol which demotivate them to work or take responsiblities for family and sociey. An their dependence on their parents as well as the goverment relief has raised the level of poverty in Canada.
iii. Discrimination on the basis of gender and race: This is another factor contributing to increase the level of povety in Canada. Some facilities are available to some section of the sociey than other which create a group of sociey neglected and exploited too. Epecially single parent mothers who growing their children alone and discrimination based on race etc.
The difference between structural and relief strategies to remove poverty in Cananda are-
structural strategies are actually long tern policies to eradicate poverty. For example i. National housing strategy that is the housing programme to construct homes for Canadian .
ii.Canadian child benefit programmes.
On the other hand , relief stratagies are basically for short run programmes to give relief to the society from poverty. For example i. old age security supplementary income for senior Canadians ii. on-reserve income assistance to meet basic needs for poor families.
